The Christmas and New Year peak is rapidly approaching
but this is a time for skiers to avoid if you want to keep it cheap.
It is a very romantic time to ski, but is fraught with problems for the budget skier.
As well as being expensive, it is the school holiday period so will have longer than normal lift queues caused by hundreds of noisy kids clogging up the pistes and resort.
