Any north west based skiers/boarders been to the manchester indoor slope? Any tips on whens best to go or avoid?

I can answer my own question!!
Went today, got a 3.30 to 5pm slot and the was hardly any one there, the was lots of space to practice my turns, and I had a great time!

Glad you enjoyed your trip, Cathy.
I hope this encourages people in the Manchester area to use this facility.
It is not, however, typical of every snowdome - on a recent trip to the slope at Castleford (Xscape in West Yorks) we could hardly move on the slope and both lift queus to the summit were at best six deep !!!

yes, I had been reading on another site about some problems when it opened, plus the usual lines of skiers all waiting to use the slope.

However mine was a very positive experience. managed to fit in plenty of runs, the guys fitting the boots & skis were happy and helpful and the best bit was it was fun.

On the smug side it was an added bonus knowing I was indulging myself while my colleagues were at work.

will keep my fingers crossed for more of the same next time
