Hi Jayne,
Read report on main site under 'Resorts' (Bulgaria) which gives more detail.
Presume you are a beginner, & if so I reckon this is one of best places to learn. Instructors speak perfect English. lots of easy runs for beginners
more in report.
Everything much cheaper than other resorts.

Hi Jayne,
Yes, I do remember you from Rauris, nice to speak to you again.
You will find Pamporovo MUCH easier than Rauris and personally I think you will find the instructors much more sympathetic and gentle.
If you go and get Ivan, Charo or Angel as an instructor they will bring on your skiing in leaps and bounds.
Say hello to them from me.
I had a couple of memorable trips over there due to them.
My very special memory is New Years Day 1981 whe it was so-o-o warm (71F) that we HAD to have a drink in between each run and Ivan skied the black piste with an open bottle of wine jammed down the front of his pants !!!
Of course he didn't even stumble, even tho i don't think he had been to bed due to celebrating the New Year.
Now that's the way to ski.
Do I sound jealous ?

Hi Jayne,
Me again!
I'd just replied to your post when I updated the site and discovered some great deals thro Thomson to Bulgaria.
I don't know when you are planning to go but check out the Best Deals/Package at the bottom of the left hand column.
There's a fantastic deal from Thomson on 3rd Jan to Pamporovo in a 3*+ Hotel for just £199 per adult - and that's for Half Board!!!
(The price shown is £249 but you get a £50 per adult discount if you book on line !)

You'll find that hard to beat !!!

Hi again Jayne,
Not going with Steve again this year cos he went and did a stupid thing - he got married !!!
Last Saturday - So now he's skint, and also has to take the family (she already has two kids) Plus as he runs his own business as a mortgage broker, he's not getting a lot of custom in the current economic climate.
As for myself, I'm trying to organise another cheapie. Probably in France.
There's some great deals with one of my advertisers (Ski Horizon) so I'm checking out a few of my mates for January. Failing that I might have to wait until March when my partner (June) has a week off work.

But you are right, last January in rauris was a great time - made even better & livlier to have the Army in town. Hope this year is as good for both of us.
