Only put this into forum as one of our readers told me he was going there.
I'd always been told that the Scandinavian countries were the most expensive and coldest in Europe. Am I right?
Hope that he, or ayone else with experience here will put me right (or confirm)

Can't answer the question but have just been on Inghams.co.uk/earlybird they have some good deals to Findland (amongst other places) - am thinking of snapping up a holiday asap but has anyone here ever been?

Realise that food/drink/etc will be more than I paid this year in Austria, esp the way the exchange rate is, but would appreciate a bit of feedback about the skiing

Well, we did it, booked for a week in Levi at the end of Jan - looking forward to flood lit skiing and the northern lights hopefully). Will post a report.

Ok, I'm bit late posting this but Finland was great. Visited Levi in mid January and it was very very cold! But it is a stunningly beautiful place and the skiing was great for beginnners & intermediate, if you are a expert skier you might find it a bit limited. Yes beer and food were a bit pricey, we were self catering and found the super market good value. It was a great holiday
