Skiing with Schools

This is usually a great way for youngsters to learn to ski.
Not only do they normally give great value for money, but also the enjoyment that your kids will derive from being abroad with their schoolfriends greatly adds to their learning experience.

On first impression, it could seem that this holiday with the school is pricey, and that you are paying for the teachers' free places; but if you check it out against Holiday Companies' normal prices, you will often find that you are making a good saving.
The Holiday Companies aren't daft. The free place for the teacher is just that. They know if the teacher doesn't go, then they miss out on x number of paying kids due to this!
When comparing prices, however, please note that the school's trip will probably include everything:- full board, ski & boot hire, extra ski lessons, and probably other 'extras', but check this out first.
The price that the Holiday Companies show in their brochures is often only for flights & accommodation.

My only criticism on this subject, is of the schools that still try to keep it cheap by going all the way to say Austria or Italy, by coach.
A terrible ordeal !
And in these days of cheap air travel, totally unnecessary.
